Role Overview
Duration: 3 Months
As an AI Robotics Engineering Intern, you will work on deploying AI systems to real agricultural robotics hardware, with a focus on high-performance on-premise vision inference.
What You'll Do
- Deploy AI vision models on real hardware for agricultural robotics systems
- Work hands-on with HAILO and NVIDIA NPUs/GPUs for edge and on-premise deployments
- Optimize model inference pipelines for latency, throughput, and reliability
- Build and maintain deployment workflows in Python and Linux environments
- Collaborate with robotics, electronics, and software teams to integrate perception into production systems
Eligibility
- Final-year students, fresh graduates, or early-career candidates from Robotics / Mechatronics / Electronics / Computer Science backgrounds
- Strong practical knowledge of Python and Linux development environments
- Available for on-site, full-time work at Maker Village, Kochi, for the full internship duration
- Must be willing to complete a screening assignment as part of the selection process
- Have been a part of non-academic projects like ROBOCON, e-yantra, SAE BAHA, URC, Techfest etc.
Must-Have Skills
- Proficiency in Python for model integration, scripting, and tooling
- Strong Linux fundamentals (shell, package management, services, debugging)
- Understanding of computer vision model deployment workflows
- Familiarity with edge AI acceleration concepts (NPU/GPU inference)
- Clear problem-solving and debugging mindset for hardware-software integration
